I took the mock exam for the Sproochetest with Sven 2 weeks before I was due for the test and it greatly helped me to establish my readyness and gain confidence for the test. It helped me a lot to get a feel for the real test and when Sven told me I passed along with useful feedback on how to still improve, I was able to continue with confidence and really pass the official Sproochetest which was easier than the mock exam. The LuxLessons Sproochentest Lëtzebuergesch is an exact simulation of the real Sproochentest exam and the procedure is as follows:
The exam starts as soon as you enter the virtual exam room and proceeds as follows:
1. Introduction
You briefly present yourself in no more than 3-4 sentences/1 minute. (This part will not be included in your real Sproochentest but it is useful for the sake of the mock exam)
2. Speaking
You are presented with two topics. You choose one of the two and you will be asked questions on the chosen topic so a discussion ensues . (5 minutes)
You are presented with three images and you choose the one that you would like to describe. Describe the situation, the activity and the people shown in the picture in as much detail as possible. (5 minutes)
3. Listening (please mute yourself in zoom for this part)
You take the listening part of the exam via a GoogleForm that I am going to send to you via email during the exam. Please carefully read and follow the guidelines provided at the beginning of the listening exam. (~ 25 minutes)
4. Corrections, Feedback & Result (10 minutes)
Get detailed corrections on all your relevant mistakes, an accurate evaluation of you Luxembourgish speaking skills, and valuable advice on how to still improve your Luxembourgish before the exam.
5. Results
In order for me to properly grade your speaking performance, I must record the speaking part of the exam. If you do not want to be recorded, please let me know before the exam. Please be aware that this greatly limits my ability to grade your performance.
You passed the exam if you achieved either a) or b):
a) obtained more than half of the possible mark in the speaking part
b) received more than half of the entire possible mark by adding together the results from the speaking and listening parts of the exam.
